Attack: Kebbi Customs Boss Visits Maje, Prays For Deceased Officer

Following the attack of Customs Camp in Maje in Tsamiya border by the suspected Lakurawa bandits recently, resulting in the loss of life of Sadiq Tahir Muhammed, a Deputy Superintendent of Customs, the Kebbi State Comptroller, Mahmoud Matawalle has visited the scene and offered prayer for the deceased after addressing the Camp.

The prayer was offered on Wednesday at the Palace of Village Head and Wakilin Maje, alongside representatives of sister agencies, officers stationed in the area and members of the community of Tsamiya.

Matawalle Ibrahim commiserated with the officers and men of the Command as well as members of the community over the attack which resulted in the loss of the officer, and prayed for the repose of his soul.

He urged the officers to synergise with sister security agencies to continue maintaining cordial relationship with their host communities.

Matawalle Ibrahim further advised officers to remain vigilant, always be well-kitted and respond decisively when attacked and more importantly for the need to create platforms for seamless information sharing with other security agencies.

The Village Head of Maje, represented by Chief Imam of Maje, Liman Yusuf, also offered prayer for the repose of the deceased Customs officer’s soul and extended his condolences to the Nigeria Customs Service, pledging the Community’s continued cooperation in sharing relevant information with security agencies.
