An Open Letter To Dr Musbau Akinbode

Way back in November 2021, you penned what I considered to be an open letter directed at the then Vice President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, in which you accused him of being a religious Vice President, not the Vice President of Nigeria.

I therefore crave your, and any other reader’s indulgence to read the whole reproduction of that letter.

OSINBAJO’S STEALTH CHRISTIANIZATION AGENDA.

“Why are you running a surreptitious Christianisation agenda in the government? Are you the VP of Nigerian Christians or the VP of Nigeria?

“Virtually all the appointments you influenced as a VP, and made in acting president capacity, were to RCCG members. From planting RCCG Pastors-in-charge as DG, Budget Office (Ben Akabueze); DG, BPE (Alex Okoh) and Minister of Trade & Investment (2015 – 2019) Okey Enelamah, to appointing MD, Bank of Industry (Kayode Pitan) and Ben Ovwiosu, and Akin Akinwale, (both Executive Commissioners, PENCOM), your appointment imprints reek of religious bigotry.

“These cited cases are the high profile appointments. There are several other appointments in the middle and lower base of the triangle too numerous to mention which you gave your RCCG brethren. To make matters worse and further reinforce your religious bigotry, during your infamous acting presidency period, you hurriedly fired Waheed Olagunju, a muslim and serving MD, BOI, and replaced him with Kayode Pitan, a Pastor-in-charge at RCCG. Laolu Akande, your spokesman is also a Pastor at RCCG. All the appointments you gave to Yorubas during your acting presidency were to Yoruba Christians. None was given to Yoruba Muslims.

“During the FRC Code of Corporate Governance issue, you practically carried the case on your head and influenced the sacking of Obazee (then Executive Secretary, FRC) and subsequent suspension of the implementation of the code because you wanted to protect Pastor Adeboye’s job. Contrariwise, when the Amasa Firdaus-NBA issue happened, mum was the word from you. You suddenly vanished and momentarily ceased to exist in a case of denial of fundamental human right by your oppressive Christian-brethren dominated NBA. Without you and in a case that happened in Abuja — right under your nose — Amasa triumphed at the end. What a shame! Your actions and inactions in the cited cases showed where your heart and interest lied. Pathetic.

“Or what do we make of your wife, Mrs Dolapo Osinbajo, who goes about sharing Christian evangelism materials/souvenirs to attendees at public government/secular events where you, the VP, is invited as a speaker? A lot of nonsense going on in Nigeria. A probable Osinbajo presidency will be a terrible disaster for inter-faith harmony in Nigeria.

“Despite the fervent and unceasing prayers of you and your RCCG brethren for Buhari to die abruptly so that you can take over the presidency, Buhari will outlive you, In Sha Allah.

“By the grace of God, you will never rule Nigeria — both during Buhari’s remaining years of his second term or post 2023 — because we cannot allow your Christianization agenda to fully manifest. That will be a disaster.

“You cannot rise beyond petty religious parochialism despite your level of education and exposure. Tinubu clearly made a mistake nominating a Pastor like you as Buhari’s running mate in Dec 2014. He should have nominated a liberal Christian and not a fundamentalist and religious bigot. Your vice presidency and acting presidency have both been a disaster for Nigerian muslims in general and Yoruba muslims in particular.

“The allegations of your religious bigotry in appointments some years ago by Dr. Ismaila Farouq titled “Osinbajo is No Saint, Consolidating for 2019” still rings true.

“How ironic that a country where fanatical Christians who mischievously scream Islamization agenda every time and immediately develop hatred and bitterness towards Muslims and the hijab, want a ‘Pastor’ to rule Nigeria? What a paradox! You guys are jokers. Osinbajo, you will never rule Nigeria, In Sha Allah. The prospect of your presidency is an existential threat to Islam because in Nigeria because you have shown that you are nothing but a crusader-in-suit. Your loyalty is first to your faith before tribe and country. The Muslim Ummah in Nigerian will never allow you manifest your Christianisation agenda.

“This is a wake up call to the Nigerian Muslim Ummah. Eternal vigilance is the price of freedom. Why should the Hijab stir bitterness and hatred in the heart of a Nigerian Christian when the crucifix does not inspire such in the heart of a Nigerian muslim? Enough said!”

Well, Dr. Musbau Akinbode, your prayers may have been answered, but what you may not also know is that the Nigerian First Lady is another ‘Professor Osinbajo’, whose “Christianisation agenda” is not “subtle”, but open and direct. This kind of suggests that Professor Osinbajo may have been indirectly in charge in the country, courtesy of his ownership of the world wide Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

The First Lady is not apologetic about her Christianisation agenda, she goes about it overtly, with the open assistance of her husband, the number one citizen in the country.

She is in cahoots with those behind the foreign and local lies which claim that Christians are being massacred in Nigeria, when in reality there are more Muslim victims of the outlaws than Christians. The likes of the lying US Senator, Ted Cruz, deliberately refused to tell their equally religious bigots, that the ratio of those callously murdered by the mostly pagan outlaws is 85% Muslims, and 15% Christians.

The Hausa people have a saying which goes like ‘I do not want to born a governor, I would rather born the governor’s wife. This is quite in agreement with Islam, which came and abolished the pagan Arab practice of burying alive, baby girls, the moment they were born, or before they reach maturity. Islam frowned at, and criminalised the practice, and prescribed death penalty for taking a baby’s life simply because it was a girl.

And it would appear that the First Family have taken the ‘woman first’ practice, because the First Lady, Senator Pastor Remi Tinubu does only that which will benefit her religion, making her the ‘First Lady of her religion, not the First Lady of the whole Nigeria.

She rushes to wherever ‘disaster’ or ‘contrived disaster’ occurs to a Christian community and donates hundreds of millions or even one billion naira, while she completely looks the other way, if a similar thing happens to the other faiths in the country. And the husband looks at her and the First Son, himself a Christian, and expresses appreciation that he is blessed with such a family.

Meanwhile, the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is the kind of person who would do anything for money, including selling souls (even his mother’s) to get his hands on it.

The social media is replete with tales of his heartlessness, in paying nearly $1 million school fees to one of the most expensive schools in the FCT, in advance, for the education of his children from primary school to university level, while school teachers in his state went on years without salary.

The former Governor allegedly looted, and is therefore indebted to the state Commonwealth, the sum of about N80 billion when he was in office for eight years, before he handed over to his hand-picked successor, and retired to enjoy the proceeds of his 8-year spree protected by the might of Kogi state.

The immediate past governor, who had aspired but failed, to lead the ruling APC after wrecking Kogi state, rides in Abuja and Lokoja, in a convoy of Canada-customised expensive bulletproof cars that no minister in Nigeria, but the First Family, enjoys.

The Kogi State serving governor, even established the first and only ‘Office of the Former Governor’ in the Government House, in an obsequious gesture of ‘thank you, for handing over to me, an office that would have otherwise remained out of my reach.’

Therefore, assuring President Tinubu that Kogi State is APC’s, is a narrative that the compromised INEC, and the federal government-captured judiciary, will be only too happy to repeat.

Lest we forget, this is the first time, in 27 weeks (6 months and one week), my area has not experienced the ‘falling of the line’ that has been ‘programmed’ to occur every week in a row without failure. May it continue up to 2027, when the incompetency and corruption that have stunted the development of Nigeria, will become a thing of the past.
