Ailing Decampee Sends SOS To Kebbi Governor

A decampee to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Danko/Wasagu Local Government area of Kebbi State, Abubakar Dagna’o has sent an Save-Our-Soul (SOS) to Governor Nasir Idris (Kauran Gwandu) to undergo eye surgery and other ailment.

He made the appeal during an interview with our correspondent in Birnin Kebbi saying: “I’ve done all I could to reach the governor but all my efforts proved futile; that is why I am using this medium to convey my plight to him.”

According to him, he defected from PDP because of the governor and he has contributed towards the success of the APC during the 2023 general elections in Kebbi State.

Shortly after Kauran Gwandu received the mantle of leadership in 2023, Dagna’o disclosed that, he was moved by the governor’s benevolence and kind gestures.

“Now, my life is in danger, facing serious eyes problem and other body upset which I need to go for surgery and diagnosis,” Dagna’o said.

Members of APC are aware of my contributions to the party in Danko/Wasagu and the level of mobilisation for my teeming supporters who are still loyal to me since 2011 to 2015 when I contested for the state’s assembly seat,” he added.

The ailing member also noted that he and his supporters have turned down offers by the opposition to return to their former party but for Kauran Gwandu’s sake.

He further explained that they preferred to remain in APC in order to contribute their qouta towards the success of Kaura Second term bid in 2027.
