Kwankwaso Warns 30 APC Govs Will Lose …Peter Obi Is The Only Candidate Who Can Run Across Nigeria
The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has declared that having 30 state governors will not guarantee President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the 2027 general elections.
Kwankwaso made these remarks on Thursday while speaking at a major town hall meeting in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
He recalled the 2015 elections, noting that former President Goodluck Jonathan lost his re-election bid despite being the incumbent and having significant structural advantages.
The former Kano State governor strongly criticized the current All Progressives Congress (APC) governors, claiming they have performed woefully across the country and cannot successfully campaign for the President’s re-election.
“Those who think that because they have more than 30 governors, they cannot lose are making a very big mistake,” Kwankwaso stated, arguing that many governors will be unable to face their electorates due to poor governance records.
He also reportedly highlighted his principal, Peter Obi, asserting that Obi is the only opposition candidate who genuinely possesses the necessary national appeal and structural capacity to successfully campaign and win across all regions of Nigeria.
Kwankwaso concluded by urging citizens to prioritize verifiable performance records over traditional political alliances in the upcoming elections.
