2027: Go And Write It Anywhere And Keep It, Peter Obi Is Going To Be On That Ballot – Abdulkarim

According to Channels Television on Wednesday, September 2, 2026, Ibrahim Abdulkarim, a prominent member of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), has expressed strong confidence that the party’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, will participate in the 2027 presidential election.

He also hinted that significant political developments were taking place behind the scenes ahead of the election.

Abdulkarim made the statement while discussing preparations and emerging political developments surrounding the 2027 general elections.

According to him, ongoing efforts were focused on ensuring that Obi secures a place on the presidential ballot, although he stopped short of explaining the specific steps being taken.

The NDC chieftain urged Obi’s supporters not to lose faith in the former Anambra State governor’s political prospects.

He suggested that the situation would become clearer as events unfold, maintaining that an important development was imminent.

“But we have what we have. I told you, Sh, something big is coming,” Abdulkarim said.

He subsequently made a firm prediction concerning Obi’s participation in the forthcoming presidential election, asking members of the public to take note of his words.

“And I can tell you this one: go and write it anywhere and keep it. Peter Obi is going to be on that ballot,” he stated.

While acknowledging that he could not explain precisely how Obi would eventually appear on the ballot, Abdulkarim remained convinced that the former governor would overcome whatever political or procedural hurdles might arise.

“We don’t know how they are going to do it, but he is going to be on the ballot, and he is going to be the next president,” he declared.

His comments come at a time when political parties, movements and influential figures are increasingly positioning themselves ahead of the 2027 presidential contest.

Abdulkarim has continued to portray Obi as a politician with the potential to attract substantial support, particularly among younger Nigerians, while presenting his candidacy as a challenge to Nigeria’s established political structure.

During the interview, Abdulkarim also maintained that the 2027 election should not be assessed entirely through the voting patterns witnessed in previous elections.

He indicated that lessons from the 2023 presidential election had influenced the strategies being developed by Obi’s supporters for the next electoral contest.

Although he offered no concrete explanation for the “something big” he referenced, Abdulkarim’s position remained unequivocal: he believes Peter Obi will appear on the 2027 presidential ballot and ultimately emerge as Nigeria’s next president.
