Gov Buni Confirms Dr. Goje As Substantive SSG

Governor of Yobe State, Hon. Mai Mala Buni, has approved Dr. Mohammed Goje, as substantive Secretary to the State Government. He has been on an acting capacity since his appointment four months ago.

A statement by Mamman Muhammad who is the Director-General, Press and Media Affairs to the Governor said that Dr. Goje was appointed as acting SSG on 29th April 2026, a position he held until recent development.

Dr. Goje was the Executive Secretary of the State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA) before his appointment as the Acting Secretary to the State Government.

Governor Buni charged the Secretary to the State Government to justify his appointment as the Secretary to the State Government through value addition to good governance and service delivery.
