Bauchi Gov Receives Recognition Award for Leadership Excellence

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State, has received a Special Excellence Award from the Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities (SSANU) in recognition of his outstanding leadership and exceptional performance in governance.

The award was presented during the 55th National Executive Council (NEC) meeting of SSANU held at the Yelwa Campus of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University (ATBU), Bauchi.

Governor Mohammed, received the award through his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Alhaji Abdulwahab Muhammad.

Speaking shortly after receiving the award, Abdulwahab Muhammad expressed appreciation to SSANU for recognising Governor Bala Mohammed’s contributions to good governance, assuring that the administration would remain committed to implementing people-oriented policies and developmental projects across Bauchi State.

He also highlighted the Governor’s achievements in the education sector, particularly at Sa’adu Zungur University, Gadau, noting that the administration has continued to invest in educational infrastructure, staff welfare and reforms aimed at strengthening tertiary education in the state.

Other award recipients at the event included the Vice-Chancellor of Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University for exemplary leadership, SSANU National President, Comrade Mohammed Haruna Ibrahim, for his contributions to the development of higher education, the Registrar of the university, and other distinguished personalities.

The SSANU President, Comrade Mohammed Ibrahim Haruna, while speaking at the occasion, said the awards were presented to individuals who have distinguished themselves through quality leadership and meaningful contributions to education sector and national development.

Our correspondent gathered that the 55th SSANU National Executive Council meeting attracted delegates from Universities across the country, who deliberated on issues affecting university workers and the advancement of Nigeria’s higher education sector.
