Kaduna Community Health Practitioners Launch Operation Show Your Certificate

The Association of Community Health Practitioners of Nigeria (ACHPN) Kaduna State branch has flagged off its “Operation Show Your Valid License and Certificate,” exercise.

Speaking during the flag off at PHC Zonal office, Zaria, Comrade Aliyu Abdulrashid Umar said the exercise is an important regulatory initiative of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria (CHPRBN).

He said, “this operation is aimed at ensuring that only dully registered and currently Licensed Community Health Practitioners provide healthcare to the public.”

According to him, it is a proactive measure to strengthen professionalism, enforce compliance with statutory regulations, eliminating quackery and safeguarding the quality of healthcare delivery in our communities.

Comrade Aliyu Umar said, the important of this operation is to protect the public from unqualified and unauthorized practioners as well to promote patient safety by ensuring that only competent and license professionals are in practice.

Also the to encourage practitioners to maintain valid bi-annual practice License and comply with the regulations of the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria.

To uphold the dignity, integrity and ethical standards of the Community Health Profession and to support government efforts to improve the quality of Primary Health Care services across Kaduna State.

He assured the Board of their unwavering support and commitment to the successful implementation of this exercise in the state.

The chairman, members to cooperate with the inspection team by presenting valid registration certificate and current practicing license when requested.

In his remarks, Dr. Mhammed Mandara Madaki Special Adviser to the Director General of the Board has emphasized the important of continue training and making an additional qualifications.

Mandara added that Community Health has been upgraded and currently there are Community Health Professors in many universities across the nation.
