Nigeria Pillar Of Sports Endorses SWAN President’s Second Term Bid

The Nigeria Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu Ejidike, has expressed confidence in the leadership of the National President of the Sports Writers Association of Nigeria (SWAN), Mr Isaiah Benjamin, declaring that he deserves a second term in office.

Chief Ejidike made the endorsement during a novelty match organised to celebrate the 50-50 birthday anniversary of Chief Alloy Chukwuemeka and his wife.

According to him, Isaiah Benjamin has brought stability to the administration of SWAN across the country, while creating opportunities for members to travel and cover major national sporting assignments.

He noted that Benjamin has demonstrated exceptional leadership by reconciling previously divided members and state chapters, making SWAN a more united and stronger professional body.

“Benjamin has shown great leadership qualities by bringing warring members and chapters together. Today, SWAN stands as an indivisible entity because of his leadership,” Chief Ejidike said.

He further assured that the Office of the Nigeria Pillar of Sports would continue to support SWAN’s programmes and policies aimed at promoting sports journalism in the country.

Chief Ejidike maintained that Isaiah Benjamin has performed creditably well and deserves to be re-elected at the forthcoming SWAN Delegates Conference scheduled to hold in Kaduna next month.
