NVBF Names National Coaches For Senior, Age-Grade, Beach Teams

The Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) has announced the appointment of national coaches for the Senior Men, Senior Women, Under-19 Boys, Under-19 Girls, Under-17 Boys, Under-17 Girls, and Beach national teams following a comprehensive selection, screening and approval processes.

The appointments underscore the Federation’s commitment to strengthening the technical development of volleyball in Nigeria and ensuring adequate preparation for upcoming regional, continental, and international competitions.

Senior Men: Coach Taiwo Oladipupo – Head Coach; Coach Twevini Yohanna – Assistant Coach I/Setters Coach; Coach Jonah Adamu – Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator.

Senior Women: Coach Elam Elishama – Head Coach; Coach Segun Abinde – Assistant Coach I/Offensive Coordinator; Coach Sunday Yunana Akapson – Setters Trainer.

Under-19 Boys: Coach Adamu Nite – Head Coach; Coach Ayo Aboderin – Assistant Coach I/Offensive Coordinator; Coach Philip Stephen – Setters Trainer.

Under-19 Girls: Coach Vincent Unogwu – Head Coach; Coach Bukola Faremi – Assistant Coach I/Blocking and Defence Coordinator; Coach Chinyere Onuoha – Assistant Coach II/Offensive Coordinator.

Under-17 Girls: Coach Sunday Yunana Akapson – Head Coach; Coach Jessica Egwuna – Assistant Coach/Offensive Coordinator; Coach Kingsley Alika – Setters Trainer.

Under-17 Boys: Coach Suleiman Ajeigbe – Head Coach; Coach Ibrahim Adamu – Assistant Coach I/Offensive Coordinator; Coach Osas Omoruyi – Assistant Coach

Beach Volleyball – Women: Coach Kayode – Coach; Coach Felicia Amos – Coach

Beach Volleyball – Men: Coach John Iwerima – Coach; Coach Jonathan Thaj – Coach

The NVBF congratulates all the appointed coaches and expressed confidence in their ability to contribute significantly to the development and success of volleyball and beach volleyball in Nigeria.

The Federation expects the coaches to bring their wealth of experience, professionalism and technical expertise to bear as they guide the national teams towards achieving excellence on the continental and global stages.
