Christian Forum Okays Ex-Governor Abubakar As Bauchi APC Candidate

The Christian Leaders Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Bauchi State has endorsed the candidature of Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar, SAN, as the party’s 2027 governorship candidate, saying it reflects his political acceptability, leadership capacity and the confidence reposed in him by stakeholders and the people of Bauchi State.

This was contained in a congratulatory statement signed by the Bauchi chapter coordinator, Apostle Daniel Yusuf Adamu, where he said Abubakar’s election was in recognition of his track records of service, experience, competence and commitment to democratic governance.

“This victory confirms the trust reposed in him based on his records of service and dedication to the people,” the statement read.

According to the forum, members held special prayers on Sept. 9 ahead of the announcement and thanked God for the outcome.

The forum commended the national leadership of the National APC Christian Leaders Forum of Nigeria (NACLFON) and Bauchi chapter members for their unity and support during the process.

The group also extended special appreciation to Hajiya Barr. Aisha M. A. Abubakar for collaborating with it, and to Comrade Mbami I. Sabka for mobilising young leaders and stakeholders in support of the former governor.

Apostle Daniel praised APC elders and stakeholders across Bauchi for uniting behind Abubakar, noting that the consensus demonstrated the party’s structure, internal consultation, and progressive direction.

It cited Abubakar’s past record in governance, infrastructure development, and public service reforms as reasons he was well positioned to reposition the state and lead the APC to victory in 2027.

The forum also commended other aspirants for their maturity and sportsmanship, and urged all APC members to rally behind the consensus candidate to secure victory and deliver democratic dividends to the people.

It expressed confidence that the APC would prevail in 2027 and called for continued prayers and support for Abubakar as he prepares for the campaign for good.
