Primaries: 2 Kebbi Aspirants Withdraw For Aliero, Yahaya

Two Kebbi aspirants for Kebbi Central and South Senatorial Districts, Kabiru Sani Giant and Bala Ibn Na-Allah have withdrawn, 24 hours to the commencement of the primary elections.

Our Correspondent reports that the two aspirants withdrew in separate letters they sent to the APC party offices dated Sunday May 17, 2026.

In their letters, the duo were said to have withdrawn from the contest following the intervention of Governor Nasir Idris.

At the venue of the affirmation on Monday, Senator Muhammed Adamu Aliero, representing Kebbi Central Senatorial District, has been reaffirmed as the APC candidate for the 2027 elections.

Similarly, Senator Dr. Yahaya Abdullahi, representing Kebbi North Senatorial District in the Senate, also got the APC ticket.

The affirmation exercise was witnessed by Governor Nasir Idris, APC State Chairman, Abubakar Kana Zuru and the Chairman, Affirmation Committee, Sa’idu Nasamu Dakingari and officials from the National Headquarters of APC.
