2027: Gov Eno For Second Term, Submits Nomination Form

By Patrick Titus, Uyo
As preparations for the 2027 general elections get underway nationwide, Akwa Ibom State Governor, Pastor Umo Eno has opened up his second term governorship ambition on the platform of All Progressives Congress (APC).
Indication shows that this action of Governor Umo Eno has further tightened chances for the opposition parties planning to unseat him in the 2027 poll.
Eno said his decision to seek a second term in office in the governorship race is to complete and consolidate on the numerous ongoing projects in the state
The Governor spoke with Government House correspondents at the Victor Attah International Airport upon his return from Abuja after submitting his 2027 governorship nomination form
He noted that the state, under his administration, has recorded several developmental milestones anchored on the ARISE Agenda, adding that some of the projects cannot be completed within the remaining part of the current administration.
The Governor noted that as the visioner of the projects, it would be more beneficial to the state for the projects to be executed as envisioned by the visioner.
“We will continue to pray, trust in God, and remain committed to serving our people. But you can see clearly that there is still so much work on ground. Many of the projects we have started will not be fully completed within this term.
“That is why we are asking for another mandate to drive home these initiatives and consolidate on the progress already made for the benefit of our people,” he added.
The Governor appreciated the citizenry for their unwavering support for him in the last three years, and expressed hope that such will be sustained in the remaining one year of the first term and in the second term.
