The Headquarters of Sector 2 Joint Task Force North East, Operation HADIN KAI, Damaturu, will conduct a demolition exercise involving the disposal of unserviceable ammunition at the Damaturu Military Cantonment from 14 to 15 March, 2026,
In a press statement signed by Lieutenant Colonel Ibrahim Kaita, the acting Assistant Director, Sector 2, Army Public Relation said the exercise is scheduled to commence at 0800 hours (8:00 a.m.) daily.
The Sector 2 of OPHK consequently, requested journalists to use their medium to disseminate information about the particular exercise.
He advise members of the public, particularly residents of Damaturu and surrounding communities not to panic upon hearing explosions or gunshots within the vicinity of the cantonment during the period of the exercise, as it forms part of routine military activities.
