In a significant move to strengthen grassroots political leadership and enhance party operations across the state, the Executive Governor of Yobe State, Hon. (Dr.) Mai Mala Buni, has distributed 17 brand new vehicles to the newly elected APC Local Government chairmen across the 17 Local Government Areas of the state.

The presentation of the vehicles was carried out on behalf of the Governor by the Deputy Governor, Hon. Idi Barde Gubana (Wazirin Fune), who explained that the gesture was aimed at facilitating the activities of the party leadership at the grassroots and ensuring effective coordination of the policies and programmes of the ruling party.

Addressing the beneficiaries, the Deputy Governor urged the chairmen to make judicious use of the vehicles in carrying out their responsibilities, particularly in mobilizing support for government initiatives and strengthening party unity across their respective local governments.

He further advised them to eschew bitterness, avoid political betrayals and work towards uniting party supporters in order to consolidate the achievements of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state.

Gubana emphasized that the Governor has absolute confidence in the ability of the newly elected chairmen to deliver on their mandate, noting that their leadership at the grassroots remains critical to the continued success of the party.

He also reminded them to strictly adhere to the principles, constitution and guidelines of the APC, while maintaining close collaboration with key stakeholders in the state in the discharge of their duties.
