Gov Mohammed Distributes 40 Tractors, 100 Motorcycles Under ACReSAL

In line with his administration’s determination and commitment to encouraging and boosting scientific farming in Bauchi State, Governor Bala Mohammed, has on Saturday, officially distributed 40 brand-new tractors, 100 motorcycles, along with additional heavy machinery as part of the World Bank-backed ACReSAL project.

The move underscores his government’s strong dedication to modernizing agriculture, water supply, combating environmental degradation and fostering rural prosperity.

The ceremony, which took place at the International Conference Center (ICC) Bauchi, shows advancement in efforts to enhance food production, rehabilitate damaged landscapes and drive economic progress, especially in the state’s rural areas that depend solely on farming.

In his speech at the occasion, Governor Bala Mohammed, highlighted how the ACReSAL program serves as a vital tool in addressing urgent threats like climate shifts, soil erosion, dry spells, and flood risks. He explained that supplying these tractors and tools will lighten the workload for local farmers and state agencies, while speeding up the shift to mechanized agriculture and large-scale land recovery initiatives throughout Bauchi state.

Governor Mohammed re-emphasized his administration’s commitment to partnering with trusted international organizations and initiatives to uplift living standards and create broader prospects for residents across the state.

Bauchi State ACReSAL Project Coordinator, Dr. Ibrahim Kabir, informed that the machinery was acquired specifically to strengthen on-the-ground execution of the project’s goals. Pointing out that “this support will raise productivity levels, encourage eco-friendly agricultural methods, and help counteract the damaging impacts of climate-related issues.

Dr. Kabir commended Governor Bala Mohammed for his consistent backing and dynamic guidance in advancing the initiative, promising that the equipment will be managed responsibly to generate sustainable advantages and tangible results for communities statewide.
