Bauchi @50: Gala Night Celebrates Culture, Honours Distinguished Citizens

Following the colourful traditional morning Durbar celebration held at the Dr. Rilwanu Sulaiman Adamu Sports Center Government House, Bauchi on Saturday, Governor Bala Mohammed hosted a glamorous Gala Night at the Ahmadu Bello International Conference Centre, Bauchi, as part of activities marking the 50th Anniversary of Bauchi State.

The evening brought together government officials, dignitaries, traditional rulers, and invited guests in an atmosphere of celebration and reflection. The event featured captivating cultural performances, music and artistic displays that highlighted the rich heritage, unity, and diversity of Bauchi State.

A major highlight of the night was the presentation of awards to distinguished sons and daughters of Bauchi State, in recognition of their outstanding contributions and selfless service to the growth and development of the state across various sectors.

The Gala Night served as a befitting conclusion to the day’s events, celebrating Bauchi’s journey over the past five decades, while honouring individuals whose dedication and commitment have helped shape the state’s progress.
