KACRAN Appeals For Amicable Resolution Of Nigeria-Niger Variance

The Kulen Allah Cattle Rearers Association of Nigeria (KACRAN) has urged leaders of Nigeria and Niger to reconcile their diplomatic differences to resolves disputes, strengthen bilateral relations.

According to the National President of the association, Hon. Khalid Muhammad Bello, the association emphasizes the rich historical ties, cultural connections and intertwoven economies of the two nations, which he described as twin nations.

The association highlights that the close to 1,608-kilometre shared border has fostered strong social and economic bonds, with families split across the territories and local markets interconnected.

KACRAN warns that ongoing diplomatic tensions are having a detrimental impact on trade and the livestock industry, particularly during critical seasons like Eid-al-Kabir and other occasions.

KACRAN calls for prioritizing citizens welfare and joint security cooperation to combat shared challenges, emphasizint that dialogue and diplomacy are essential for progress respectively.

The association concluded by appealing for a commitment to collaboration between the two nations to ensure peace and prosperity in the West African sub-region at large.
