2026 Hajj: NAHCON Caps Accommodation Arrangements Ahead of Saudi Deadline

The Chairman of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, has informed stakeholders, intending pilgrims, and the general public that the Commission has successfully concluded accommodation arrangements for the 2026 Hajj in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, well ahead of the deadline set by the Saudi authorities.

The completion of these accommodation arrangements and the approval granted by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah are in line with the directive of the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima (GCON), who emphasized the need to conclude all critical Hajj preparations within the timeline prescribed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in order to safeguard Nigeria’s interests, Ahmad Muazu, Special Assistant on Media Affairs to the Chairman of NAHCON said on his Facebook Wall.

Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman commended the leadership and consistent support provided by the Vice President throughout the process. He also appreciated the dedication and commitment of the technical team deployed to Saudi Arabia, members of the NAHCON Board, the Nusuk Masar platform management team, Chairmen of State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Boards, NAHCON staff, and other relevant stakeholders.

With the completion of this exercise, Nigeria has secured accommodation for its pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj and ranks among the countries that met this major requirements within the stipulated time.

The Commission will now proceed to the next phase of preparations for the successful conduct of the 2026 Hajj operations.
