Celebration As Gov Bala Mohammed Unveils Bauchi @50 Logo

Governor Bala Mohammed of Bauchi State has officially unveiled the Bauchi @50 Anniversary Logo, signaling the kick-off of a year-long celebration of statehood, unity and shared destiny.

While unveiling the Logo at the Government House in Bauchi on Friday, Governor Bala Mohammed informed that the Five Decades Anniversary is not merely as a remembrance of the past, but as a bold moment to re-imagine the future. He described the milestone as an opportunity to take stock of Bauchi’s journey since its creation in 1976, acknowledging the sacrifices made, the challenges overcome and the collective resolve that has sustained the state through decades of growth and change.

The Governor explained that the newly unveiled logo is rich in meaning and aspiration. Its design reflects unity and inclusiveness, with elements symbolizing the state’s 20 Local Government areas bound by a common destiny. The use of gold represents achievement, endurance and the value of Bauchi’s contributions to national development, while green conveys hope, renewal, and a shared vision for a more prosperous future across the state.

He emphasized that Bauchi’s progress has been driven by the strength of its diversity, the hard work of its people and a deep sense of communal responsibility, values that continue to define the state’s identity.

As part of the anniversary programme, Governor Mohammed, unfolded that a wide range of commemorative activities has been designed to unite citizens across religious, cultural and social lines. These include special Juma’at prayer sessions, interdenominational church services, public lectures, policy conferences, cultural exhibitions and a grand gala night featuring awards to honour individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the development of Bauchi State.

While stressing that the Golden Jubilee is not a government event alone, but a celebration owned by every citizen of the state, the governor, therefore, called on Bauchi indigenes and friends of the state, both at home and in the diaspora, to embrace the anniversary as a moment of reflection, renewal and renewed commitment to building a stronger, more united Bauchi for generations to come.

In marking 50 years of existence, Bauchi State turns a page, honouring its past, celebrating its present and confidently charting a course towards a future defined by unity, progress and shared responsibility.
