Go For Yobe Governorship In 2027 – Senator Bomai Supporters Crave

Groups of Senator Ibrahim Bomai supporters have expressed their appetite for the distinguished senator to contest for the governorship of Yobe State on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the oncoming 2027 general elections.

The groups supporting the senator made this known on Saturday when they gathered at the Federal Polytechnic, Damaturu, to express their demand.

Senator Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai represents Yobe South senatorial constituency and is serving his second term representing the constituency in the Senate.

In their speech, thousands of supporters of Senator Bomai from all parts of Yobe State expressed their demand for the Senator to contest for the governorship in 2027 to break the deadlock of the incumbent Governor, Dr. Mai Mala Buni as he is the only person capable of governing the state without facing the threat of defeat among the aspirants.

Alhaji Muhammad Ngordi, a senior leader of the APC from Yobe East (Zone A) constituency, said that they do not have any candidate better than Senator Ibrahim Bomai when the time comes, considering the projects ongoing in his constituency, cutting across all over the local governments under his constituency which includes roads.

According to him, that is why they came out in their numbers to show their support for the Senator to contest for the governorship when the time comes.

Alhaji Salisu Bakabe, a former Commissioner in Yobe State said, “It is imperative that we support Senator Bomai in his bid to contest for the governorship in the 2027 general elections because the senator has portrayed himself as a worthy representative of the people, especially considering the projects he has undertaken in the areas of road construction, supporting students while sending some of them abroad for higher education in all the four local government areas in his constituency of Yobe South.”

One of the leaders of Senator Ibrahim Bomai Solidarity Movement from Geidam who are in support of the governorship contest, Hafiz Yusuf Geidam, also expressed support for Senator Bomai because he is the only one who can follow the footsteps of Governor Buni.
