The Hon. Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Kaduna State, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, has swiftly debunked a misleading and false information making the rounds in the social media, to the effect that His Excellency Senator Uba Sani has approved the creation of a Hausa Dynasty in the Zazzau Emirate.

The Hon. Commissioner, while reacting in a statement to that effect, signed by him, stressed thus: “The attention of the Office of the Honourable Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Hon. Sadiq Mamman Lagos, has been drawn to a false and misleading news circulating in the social media, purportedly attributed to Governor Uba Sani, regarding the creation of a Hausa Dynasty in the Zazzau Emirate.

“The fake news claims that Governor Uba Sani has approved plans to establish a Hausa Royal Dynasty (Hausa Dynasty) within the Zazzau Emirate, citing historical significance and a step toward restoring balance and inclusiveness in the traditional leadership structure of Zaria. It further provides background information on existing Fulani dynasties in Zazzau and suggests the introduction of a fifth dynasty.

“This office categorically states that the said news is COMPLETELY FALSE and fabricated. Governor Uba Sani has no intention or plan to create a Hausa Dynasty in Zazzau Emirate, and no such approval has been given.

“We urge the public to disregard this misinformation and assure that the Governor’s office will not engage in any act that undermines the peace, stability, and traditional structures of Kaduna State,” the statement further added.

“We advise the originator of this fake news,” the Hon. Commissioner noted, “to retract the statement immediately”.
