Kebbi Legion Disburses N30m To 20m Orphans, Widows In 2025

The Birnin Kebbi Local Government branch of the Legion Association in Kebbi State has said that it has disbursed 30 million naira to 20 million orphans and widows of the association in 2025.
Chairman of the Association who also doubles as the state’s Acting Chairman, Ahmed Shehu Matawalle, disclosed this to journalists on Sunday during in his office situated along Dukku Barracks in Birnin Kebbi.
He said the amount is from the finds realised annually during the association’s launching of its emblem in the state.
Besides, Matawalle further stated that the Birnin Kebbi branch of the association has also printed and produced membership ID cards to 300 of its members including widows, free of charge.
Accordingly, he said, the association has secured enlistment into the Nigerian Army, for 48 children of the Legion members in order to negate unemployment among youths in the Local Government area.
He called on Legion members to continue to support the leadership of the association in its efforts to protect members in Birnin Kebbi and the state as a whole.
He also commended the present administration of Governor Nasir Idris for assisting the Legion annually with funds and logistics to operate uccessfully.
