Sports is Love: Alloy Empathises with Recuperating Ikhana

By Saidu Abubakar

Sports encompasses more than mere participation in competition and/or winning accolades. In fact, it involves a deeper sense of camaraderie, which is pivotal to achieving success. It is essential to appreciate these accolades whenever the opportunity arises.

This sentiment is exemplified by Alloysius Okerieke, a recuperating senior colleague from Delta, who took the initiative to empathize with Kadiri Ikhana, equally recuperating former Green Eagles player and coach, undergoing treatment at the Turkish Hospital in Abuja. I commend Alloy’s spirit. May the Almighty God grant healing to both of them, as well as others afflicted with ailments.

Alloy expressed his sentiments on his Facebook Wall thus: DAY 5: KADIRI IKHANA IS RESPONDING TO TREATMENT. Sequel to our earlier report, Ex Green Eagles 1980 Nations cup defence star KADIRI IKHANA (MON) is responding to treatment and in stable condition at the Turkish hospital Abuja. We thank everyone for their prayers and support to keep the veteran coach alive and we pray God for his quick recovery.
