AFCON 2025 Q/final Berth: Chief Agu-Ejidike Congratulates Super Eagles

The Nigeria’s Pillar of Sports, Chief Donatus Agu-Ejidike, has congratulated the Super Eagles of Nigeria on their impressive qualification to the quarter-finals of the ongoing 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, following their emphatic 4–0 victory over Mozambique.

Chief Agu-Ejidike, who also doubles as the patron of the Nigerian Football Supporters Club, described the performance as a statement win — one that reflects character, resilience, and renewed belief, especially in the wake of the disappointment of missing out on qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

According to him, football, like life, always offers a chance at redemption to those willing to stay the course.

Nnewi-born Sports philanthropist commended the players for their professionalism and fighting spirit, the technical crew for tactical clarity and discipline, and all stakeholders — administrators, support staff, and fans at home and abroad, whose collective contributions have powered the team’s progress so far.

“The victory against Mozambique was not just about goals; it was about attitude, conviction, and responding to criticism with performance,” Chief Agu-Ejidike stated. “This team has shown that tournaments are not won on pages of newapaper, but on the pitch.”

While celebrating the achievement, Ejidike urged the Super Eagles to remain fully focused, avoid distractions, and approach the remaining matches with hunger and humility.
“The job is not finished,” he stressed. “Nigeria is a footballing nation with history and pride. The target must remain clear — nothing less than lifting the AFCON trophy for the fourth time.”

The former President of the Karate Federation of Nigeria (KFN) reaffirmed his confidence in the team’s ability to go all the way, calling on Nigerians everywhere to continue to rally behind the Super Eagles with unwavering support.

“Let belief replace doubt. Let unity fuel ambition. The nation stands with you,” he concluded.
