Police Foils Rustling Of 96 Cows In Kebbi

The mobile Policemen of No 36 MF Squadron, Birnin Kebbi, Kebbi State, have foiled the rustling of 96 cows from armed bandits in who invaded Zodi Village in Zuru Local Government area of the state.

Spokesman of Kebbi State Police Command, CSP Nafiu Abubakar disclosed this in a statement on Saturday in Birnin Kebbi.

He said when the news of the attack in the area broke out to the Command, the state’s Commissioner of Police, Bello M. Sani immediately dispatched PMF personnel to the Village who exchanged fire with the bandits, as a result of which, many of the bandits were neutralized while others fled in to the forest with gunshot.

The statement further revealed that the mobile Policemen confiscated 96 cows, 45 heads of sheep and two motorcycles which were later handed over to the Village Head of Zodi for safe return to their rightful owners while investigation continues.

The Commissioner of Police commended the efforts of the brave Mobile Policemen for ensuring safety of the good people of the area and Kebbi State.

He assured his Command’s unwavering commitment to ensuring bandits-free Kebbi State.
