20 Players From C/River Off To Jos For National Deaf Football

Cross River State Governor, Baseey Otu has sponsored 20 players and five officials to the 6th National Deaf Football Championship taking place in Jos, Plateau State.

Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Sports, Mr. Lawrence Eta, said “Governor Otu gave express directive that the state must participate in the 6th National Deaf Football Championship.

“It’s a testament to the government’s commitment to promoting sports development, especially for people with disabilities.”

The team’s Manager, Ugbong Thomas expressed optimism about the team’s prospects and commended the State Sports Commission for providing the team with kits to represent the state at the national level.
