Kebbi Gov Flags Off Jega Township Roads Project

Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has flagged off township roads project in Jega in Jega Local Government Area of the state as part of his administration’s commitment to modernise urban areas.

Speaking during the flag-off on Monday, Idris promised to extend such projects to other urban areas in the 21 Local Government areas of the state.

He said “the essence of awarding this roads project is to decongest vehicular and pedestrian movements in the major roads of Jega town, which he described as a major commercial hub in Kebbi State.”

“The roads, when completed, will also minimise the incessant accidents within Jega and environs, which has constituted serious concerns to the government and people of Kebbi,” he added.

Governor Idris urged people in Jega town to the cooperate with construction firms in order to deliver quality work that is beneficial to their livelihood.

He also urged the contractors to ensure they executed quality job as contained in the contractual agreement.
