The preaching committee of JIBWIS in Calabar, the Cross River State capital has said that
the Youths Wing of Jama’atu Izalatul Bidi’a, Cross River State assures that there is virtue in leaving consistence between Muslims and Non-Muslims in the state, adding that Islamic religion has taught that we should embrace peace, comfort non-believer in all ramifications.
Ustas Hassan Garba, financial secretary of JIBWIS said while addressing media representatives in Calabar yesterday that “Islam has taught us a lot on how to relate with people regardless of their faith, that’s why we are imploring our Muslim brothers in Cross River State that they should continue with the good relationship with indigenes.“
The financial secretary further said “to our Muslims faithfuls, I encourage you to be of good manners and behaviours, as during the life time of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), he related and lived in peace with the unbelievers of that time and they too, put maximum trust on him, calling him ‘Al-Amin’ (the trusted).
Commenting on the good rapport between the Muslims and indegenes, the Youths Wing’s committee secretary said that over “decades, Muslims in Cross River State have been enjoying harmonious relationship amd therefore “we Muslims we’ll continue to be law abiding to the state government and the traditional rulers in the state.”
On his part, Assheikh Awwal Abdulkarim, chairman Youths Wing, preaching committee, extolled the virtues of One Islam, and that Allah only should be worshipped, with sincerity.
Ustas Abubakar Salihu Abuga Afak who preaches in English on Muslims’ Relationship with Non-Muslims, drew attention of the two sects and Muslims by citing example that “Muslims are implored to live in peace with non-Muslims, and should not be engaged in disunity, but rather, treat them as you treat Ahlul-Kitab. That’s why we Muslims in the South-South geopolitical zone do live in peace and harmony.”
