The Electoral Committee of the National Sports Federations has revealed that nomination form and official timeline for the forthcoming National Sports Federation Elections have been duly approved, for the general public, member-federations, stakeholders, and all interested aspirants to obtain.
The approved nomination form will be available for collection and submission at the Secretariat of each Federation from 6th September to 11th of September during official working hours. Aspirants are expected to complete and return the form within the stipulated time frame, the committee said.
All stakeholders are enjoined to adhere strictly to the guidelines, as the electoral committee remains committed to conducting free, fair, and transparent elections that will strengthen the growth and development of sports in Nigeria.
The Revised Timeline:
- Release of Nomination of Forms: 6th September, 2025
- Deadline for the submission of Nomination Forms: 11th September, 2025
- Submission of Names of Representatives of all Constituencies, except Zonal Representatives: 11th September, 2025
- Screening of the Names of Representatives of all Constituencies except Zonal Representatives: 12th and 13th September, 2025
- Zonal Representative Elections at the Zonal HQRTS: 20th September, 2025
- Hearing of Petitions and Appeal arising from Zonal Elections: 24th September, 2025
- Bye-Elections arising from Petitions of the Zonal Elections: 27th September, 2025
- National Elections at MKO National Stadium: 4th October, 2025
- Inauguration of National Sports Federation Board: 4th October, 2025
- Hearing of Petitions and appeal arising from National Elections: 8th October, 2025
- Bye- Elections arising from Petitions on National Elections (If any) 15th October, 2025
