The Presidential Jet Left Saudi For UK, France Ferrying Doctors And Back To Saudi – Shaibu Alleges
Phrank Shaibu, spokesperson for former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, has raised fresh questions about President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s ongoing visit to Saudi Arabia, alleging that doctors were flown from the United Kingdom and France to attend to the Nigerian leader.
Shaibu made the claims during an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, where he questioned the circumstances surrounding Tinubu’s stay in Saudi Arabia for the lesser Islamic pilgrimage, known as Umrah.
During the interview, Atiku’s aide alleged that the presidential aircraft travelled between Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and France to transport medical personnel back to Saudi Arabia to provide medical attention to the President.
He challenged members of Tinubu’s media team to release dated photographs and video recordings showing the President’s activities throughout his stay in the Middle Eastern country.
According to Shaibu, making the materials public would help address questions surrounding Tinubu’s condition and activities while outside Nigeria. He added that the opposition would continue monitoring developments involving the President as part of its commitment to holding the administration accountable.
Speaking during the interview, Shaibu said:
“Ask them, they know that their jet, the presidential jet, left Saudi for the UK and France to ferry their doctors back to Saudi. They know what we are talking about. We issued a statement that we decided to monitor him and keep him in check.”
Beyond the allegations concerning Tinubu’s Saudi Arabia visit, Shaibu also discussed the anticipated presidential campaign of Atiku Abubakar under the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
He expressed confidence that the former Vice President would be physically present in all 36 states during his nationwide campaign, insisting that Atiku possessed the strength and determination required for the exercise.
The ADC chieftain also compared Atiku’s expected campaign activities with those of Tinubu, making claims about the President’s capacity to undertake similar nationwide engagements.
