Iran Launches Offensive, Bombs Ships, Downs US Aircraft As Trump Suffers Midterm Defeat
According to a report by Times of India (TOI) on Wednesday November 4, 2026, Tensions in the Strait of Hormuz are escalating sharply with Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps claiming four oil tankers have been destroyed after striking naval mines.
In a statement carried by Iranian state media, the IRGC said the vessels attempted to cross a prohibited route south of the strait before being engulfed in flames.
The IRGC also claimed that two other vessels were intercepted and halted as the confrontation over shipping routes in the strategic waterway intensifies.
But that is not all. Iran’s military has also claimed that it shot down another American MQ9 drone over the Strait of Hormuz at 4:30 a.m. local time on Tuesday.
The IRGC Aerospace Force said its air defense personnel used an advanced air defense system to bring down the drone, describing it as the 56th MQ9 it had shot down.
The Iranian force also issued a stark warning to the United States and Israel, declaring that its fighters remain ready to deliver what it called the final blow to the two countries.
