Iran: We Do Not Rule Out Any Possibility Regarding The Outbreak Of War, And We Are Prepared – Araghchi
According to a report by Al Jazeera on Saturday October 31, 2026, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has said Tehran is not ruling out the possibility of another military confrontation, stressing that the country’s armed forces are prepared to respond to any potential attack.
Araghchi made the remarks while speaking to Al Jazeera, amid growing concerns over renewed hostilities between Iran and the United States. He maintained that the Iranian government was taking necessary measures to prepare for different security developments.
“We do not rule out any possibility regarding the outbreak of war, and we are prepared for all scenarios,” Araghchi told Al Jazeera. “We have upgraded our weaponry, addressed our vulnerabilities, and tested new arms; our forces are at the highest level of readiness.”
The foreign minister’s comments suggest that Tehran remains cautious about the possibility of further military action, despite ongoing concerns surrounding tensions with Washington and the wider security situation in the Middle East.
Araghchi also addressed the economic difficulties confronting Iran as a result of sanctions and pressure imposed by the United States.
While acknowledging the impact of Washington’s economic measures on the country’s economy, he insisted that the pressure would not force the Iranian government to abandon its position or accept demands from its adversaries.
The Iranian diplomat emphasised that his country intended to withstand the economic challenges through domestic resources and continued resistance.
He further declared that Tehran remained determined to overcome the difficulties rather than surrender to external pressure.
“We will continue to stand firm and resist, and we will overcome this difficult phase through our own capabilities,” he added.
His remarks come amid heightened regional tensions and continuing uncertainty over the possibility of another confrontation involving Iran and the United States.
