Senator Aliyu Lawal (Silver) alongside former All Nigeria Peoples Party (ANPP) members in Zaria Local Government of Kaduna State have declared their support for the All Progressives Congress (APC) candidates in the forthcoming 2027 general elections.
They made the declaration during a stakeholders meeting held Sunday at the Sultan Muhammad Sa’ad Assembly Hall in Barewa College, Zaria.
Speaking at the meeting, Senator Aliyu Lawal (Silver) reminded members that APC is a merger political party and ANPP has played a significant role in forming the government in Nigeria.
He said despite the neglect of the ANPP members by the APC they should remember that stepping aside is not the solution, considering the significant development being recorded by the APC administration in Zaria Local Govt.
According to him, ANPP will continue to be part of the APC-led government because of the political merger they are under.
Senator Aliyu Silver used the forum to remind members that Zaria was blessed because of electing Abbas Tajudeen for the fourth term which gave him the speakership .
He appealed to all defunct ANPP members whom were offended to forgive and give their full support to the APC come general elections.
In his remarks, Alhaji Aminu Sani (Ajiyan Zazzau) described Senator Aliyu Lawal Silver as a visionary leader that mentored people into political leadership.
Alh. Aminu Sani urged Zaria Local Government people to look back and see what APC government has done to them and give support during the elections.
Also peaking, Hon. Abubakar Rilwan, former APC Zanal Chairman (North) and Alhaji Haladu Haruna said, the members attending the meeting are the promising ANPP members.
Also, they have over 50 votes in their homes that is the reasons of inviting them as the true lovers of ANPP.
They assured Senator Aliyu Silver that all those in attendance are with his leadership and will be on his side at all times.
Many stakeholders have spoken on Senator Aliyu Lawal Silver’s leadership qualities and political success as well as assured him of voting APC from top to bottom.
